Reggie Jackson

When Reggie Jackson was in town, I used to go to
Yankee Stadium a couple of hours before the game
got started. So that I could get to see how he
warms up in the field.
When he walks in the batting cage, I didn't blink in
order not to miss any second.
As he swings, the balls made a very straight line and
smash into the blue benches on the second floor in
the right field.
More than the physical power, I felt his spiritual
power as he swings his bat.When he started playing baseball in the major league
in 1960s, even some of his team mates didn't want
to eat with him or stay in the same hotel because
he is black.

Interviewer : Did it drive you mad?
Reggie : No. I just play baseball and be the best.

Reggie changed the history of baseball and he did
became the top of baseball.
In 1977 in a game at the World Series, he hit three
homeruns in a row. It was all the very first ball
pitched at him.
This is an unbeatable record still.
Reggie Jackson changed the history.
It was 3 years after Muhammad Ali's most
miraculous knock-out victory to change the history
that was called " Rumble in the Jungle ".
