This "Military Top Secret" document
among Japanese military dated Aug 20,
1945, five days after the end of the War
Two is an order to the men in charge at
POW camps in Asia-Pacific.
It reads "Urgent !! Any men who tortured
POWs, send them to somewhere else,
so that no one knows. Any document that
proves what we did, burn it."
The names of the seals reads Sugiura,
Harada and Endo.
インドネシア、ビルマ、香港、シンガポール・・
日本軍の捕虜収容所は、各地にあった。
写真の書類は、終戦から5日経った1945年8月20日付。
捕虜を非人道的どころか残虐の限りに痛めつけた
日本軍の指揮官どもがいかに事実を隠し、すべてが
なかったことにしようとしていたかがわかる。
