Choosing high schools

Many mothers force their children to

go to the best high school in town

(=push kids to pass the entrance exam),

so that she can proudly tell other

mothers about it and their kids can

support mothers financially by

becoming later on when they

become doctors or lawyers.

Fathers try to send kids to exactly

same schools he went, so that they'll

"stay small" in the same boring little

town just like fathers and everything

will be "under control" just as he's

planning to use up children.

Teachers don't let students take

entrance exams at high schools if

the schools require even a slightly

higher scores than students may

get even if the students are working

very hard in order to get there in

coming 6 months or so.

Why?

Because the teachers won't be

promoted if 90-100% of the

students pass the exam.

まったく同じ中学、高校に行かせたい。

子供を同じ町に縛り付けて

コントロールする「盆栽作戦」

教師は、どんなに生徒が

「あの学校を目指して猛勉強する」と言っても、

絶対に受かるとこだけしか受けさせない。

そうすれば「全員合格」となって、株が上がる。
