2004年4月、ミュージカル『ラ・マンチャの男』をブロードウェイで観た。俳優イーライ・ウォラックに「ぜひ観なさい」と言われ、その日に観に行ったら、満員なのになぜか最前列の中央席だけが空いていて、最高のシートで。
その時初めて知ったこと、それは私がボクサーの時、いつも持ち歩いていた新聞の切抜き言葉「倒しがたき敵に挑み、とらえがたき星をとらえる」の元はこのドン・キホーテのストーリーにあったこと。
劇中の歌「The Impossible Dream / 見果てぬ夢」より歌詞：
