On the trains in Japan, so many people look at manga. They carry those comic books around entire day wherever they go.
Front covers are filled with naked ladies.
Train cars are filled with hanging advertising posters from "Playboy" or other same kinds of magazines with photos and text related.
A few times at my lectures, I encouraged women to stand up about it.
Asked one young lady in the front row "It's terrible to see them, isn't it?"
She replied "... well .. I .. do not consider it is .. a very good thing .. " and did not want to do anything about it.
Not too long ago, a crying young woman was dragged by a man on the isle of the bullet train through hundreds of passengers to the toilet.
She was smashed in the worst way in the toilet for over half an hour.
No one helped her.
