Buying train tickets in Europe at the bureau can be
really painful.
Some people talk more than half an hour at the
counter just for buying tickets.
I experienced more than a couple of times to wait for
more than an hour when I had only about 5 people
before me and I’m not exaggerating.

並ばないと。
それでもアウトになることもよくある。
切符を買うのに15分かかる人はザラ。
1時間くらい窓口にいる人も何度か見かけた。
おかげで電車を逃して半日が消滅した。

it's no big deal to them.
Many of the windows are closed forever.
どんなに列が長くても、窓口はひとつしか開けないことも多い。
時間の有効利用としては、本でも持って並ぶといい。
My advice : Bring a copy of thick paperback
with you when you buy train tickets.
A thin one can be finished before you purchase
the tickets.
