Little Match Girl's loneliness

No one cared about the Little Match Girl.
It's so true.
No one cares.

This story hits me the most.
Why are people so cold?

Lone dinner

This old lady is eating "takoyaki" a kind of
fishballs alone in the corner of a supermarket

I guess that she lives alone and it doesn't look
like she's got friends.
I hope that I'm wrong.

How to deal with children

c0157558_1434947.jpg
How to deal with children ..
How do you play with your children?
How do you raise your children?

.. every day, all over Japan, there are many
thousands of such workshops for parents.
No fathers come at all.
It's all mothers.
c0157558_1441455.jpg
I suggest that children can organize a workshop
such as " How can we deal with such parents ".
That will save lots of time.

Hello Straight Talk,

I like the article on Straight Talk - about
"How to Deal With Children!" You are right,
we need a workshop on for children on
"How to Deal with Parents" very much.

Yesterday I was eating a snack at a local shopping
mall food court and a very noisy boy about 8 years
old took over the table next to me totally ignoring
the other people around him--running, making loud
noises and ruining my meal.
Soon the grandmother sat down.
The mother came and brought the hamburger and
fries, plus the toy. The first thing I thought of is why
this kid could not bring his own hamburger.....??
Then he started eating and his mother started
playing with the toy from McDonalds.
The mother was like a kid as well !
The boy was walking around with his hamburger
and fries and eating, and playing even stealing the
food from his grandmother, and the parents didn't
say anything.
I felt sorry for this fellow...........that he does not
have kind parents.
Kind parents teach children how to enjoy food
because enjoying food makes you healthy.

On Sunday at my AYURVEDA seminar
[Indian health science] we were talking about
watching TV during dinner which is common in
Japanese homes.
In my home we did not watch TV at dinner because
I was told by my parents important for health
when eating to have the stomach relaxed and
focused on digesting the food.
I think this is very true.
If you study people with ulsers it is because they
don't know how to relax.

I thought that this boy and mother were so
obnoxious and stressed.
They did not know how important it is for ones
health to eat in a calm and environment.
Remember the best restaurants with the best food
are also relaxing........

Anne's tree

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – A giant chestnut tree that comforted Dutch diarist Anne Frank as she hid from the Nazis in an Amsterdam attic during World War Two collapsed in heavy wind and rain Monday.

No one was hurt and the 150-year old tree fell across a fence, missing the Anne Frank House, which has been turned into a museum and was full of tourists.

"It broke off like a match. It broke off completely about one meter off the ground," a spokesman for the house said.

The tree was one of the few signs of nature visible to the Jewish teen-ager from the concealed attic she hid in for over two years during World War Two and it is mentioned in the diary which became a worldwide best-seller after her death in a concentration camp in 1945.

"Our chestnut tree is in full blossom. It is covered with leaves and is even more beautiful than last year," she wrote in May 1944, not long before she was betrayed to the Nazis.

The tree had developed fungus and was set to be felled in 2007 due to concerns for the safety of the 1 million people who visit Anne Frank's house each year.

But officials and conservationists later agreed to secure it with a steel frame to prolong its life and saplings from the tree were planted last year in an Amsterdam park and other cities around the world.

A Dutch tree foundation, which fought to keep the tree alive with another support group, said horticulturalists had estimated the tree could still have lived for dozens of years.

Arnold Heertje, a member of the Support Anne Frank Tree group said there were no plans to plant a sapling on the site or preserve the tree's remains.

"You have to bow your head to the facts. The tree has fallen and will be cut into pieces and disappear. The intention was not to keep this tree alive forever. It has lived for 150 years and now it's over and we're not going to extend it," he said.

Parts of the tree, located on a residential property adjacent to the Anne Frank House, were later being offered for sale on Dutch auction website marktplaats.nl. The highest offer was 10 million euros ($12.72 million).

  = Straight Talk =

I've been there many dozen times and have
seen the tree, too.
But Anne will never fall.
She stays stronger inside me each time I visit her.
